We’re growing, join us!

In 2013 Mosa Meat’s co-founder and lead scientist, Professor Mark Post, unveiled the world’s first cultivated beef burger in London. The event was televised and our beef was tasted by world renowned food writer, Josh Schonwald, and nutritional researcher, Hanni Rützler.

This landmark event showed the science behind cultivated meat was possible. The taste testers said they were impressed by the texture and familiarity to traditional meat. But this prototype was not yet ready for market.

Since then Mosa Meat has been working on perfecting our beef, including adding fat (which gives meat a lot of its taste and texture). Last year, Josh from our Stemness team did a blind taste test comparing our fat to livestock fat - he said he couldn’t tell the difference.

Now, we’re focusing on scaling up and getting to market. To help achieve this ambitious goal we’ve also been steadily growing our team. In July 2018 we closed series A funding with 6 employees, and we’re finishing off this month with a team of 44 passionate individuals.
